Learn More About Me:
Desiree Newman, LPC is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Pennsylvania, holding a Master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Carlow University. With over 10 years of experience in the mental health field, Desiree has worked across a variety of settings including in-home services, outpatient care, school-based programs, domestic violence shelters, and correctional counseling.

Desiree has extensive experience working with teens and young adults and is passionate about supporting them through challenges such as anxiety, depression, self-esteem concerns, life transitions, and relationship difficulties. She also works with adults navigating similar concerns, providing a supportive and approachable space for individuals at any stage of life. Desiree helps clients build healthy coping skills, improve emotional regulation, and develop confidence in their decision-making.
Her approach is collaborative and strengths-based, drawing from evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), person-centered therapy, solution-focused techniques, and mindfulness. Desiree tailors each session to meet the unique needs of her clients, creating a comfortable, nonjudgmental environment where growth feels achievable. She believes every individual is unique and celebrates progress—big or small.
In her free time, Desiree enjoys relaxing evenings with her family, especially movie nights. As a new mom, she loves spending time cuddling with her baby. She also enjoys camping, traveling, reading, and visiting relatives—and is proudly an enthusiastic Swiftie.
